Eagles Fly Past Jets

August 1, 2011

Over the weekend the Philadelphia Eagles signed the most coveted free agent, Nnamdi Asomugha.

Most people see the New York Jets as the top spending team, but now it appears as though the eagles will be that team for the 2011 season.  The only difference to me, is which team is doing a better job of it.  The Jets made a bunch of moves last off-season and ended up with not much more than they had the previous season.  Now, I’m not going to sit here and say that these moves are going to make the Eagles into the New England Patriots of 2007, but watch out for them.  One of the biggest differences in the Jets of last year and the Eagles of this year is simple–Michael Vick

Vick is a far more superior QB than Mark Sanchez.  Vick, before his stint in jail, was winning games with an average Atlanta Falcons team.  Sometime since he was in jail, he learned to throw, making him once again the most dangerous QB in the NFL.  Now with a defense that is finally coming together, watch for the Eagles to compete this year for the Superbowl.
